Creating Website Elements: Logo Identity

Name: Natalie Ng, but using the surname "Ng" only.

Idea - Just by using my family surname "Ng" to represent my company / logo. 

        - Breaking down the surname to letters "N" and "G".

        - Bold design logo to be more recognizable and readable 

        - For the logotype if my name shorten to "NatnG"

Message I would like to present to the audience is in addition to being easier for the audience to understand, the bold design of the logo was intended to symbolize daring and boldness. The logo's color also has a significant impact on the design; orange is for imagination, zeal, and joy, while blue is for assurance and dependability. The general layout of the logo speaks for both the created artwork and the qualities of the brand. The arrow design represent the flow and move forward to the future.

Slogan - "Noble Designs, Guiding Visions" , slogan starting phrase are the letter "N" and "G", just like the logo and the surname.

             - "Noble Designs" means a titled or extraordinary artwork; "Guiding Visions" means with a good artwork brings bright and positive outcomes.

This logo design replicate well with the dual letters of "N". With just some usage of lines and shape, adding on the overlapping creates a firm monogram logo design.

Although looking simple and minimalism and straight forward with its brand name "NG", it still stands out with just playing around with the logotype placement. Just by adjusting the letter "G" onto the top of the letter "N" makes the logo simple but memorable and recognizable.

A very impressive and inspiring monogram logo of the name Mackenzie Jones, initialize to the letter "M" and "J".
With its guide grid implement its a very well designated logo. Just by applying a bold shadow / shape can visualize well the letters of the logo.

 The letter "N"

Representing the initial / first letter of my short form name "Nat".

Also, the first letter of the company slogan front phase, "Noble".

 

 The letter "G"

Representing the last letter of my family surname "Ng".

Also, the first letter of the company slogan second phase, "Guiding".

 

The flow Arrow

Adding on with a flow arrow connecting the two letters "N" and "G", the arrow represent the target to aim forward to trustworthy outcomes.

LECTURE (FRIDAY, 1 MAR 2024)

During the 2nd week of the semester, the lecturer noted on the effective web design principles every designer should know, regardless of beginner, amateur or professional. Web design follows certain guidelines, much like any other creative field. Together, content, navigation, and graphics must ensure that your design achieves the ideal harmony. The messaging and calls to action (CTAs) on a website are essential to achieving its objectives. A purpose will help you create a clear plan and direct the creation of the design and content. It's crucial to develop a brand and an audience.

Furthermore, Good content directs your readers toward the activities you want them to take and is clear, helpful, and helpful. Content should be optimized for search engines. Establishing the goal of your website will help you determine what kind of material you need, and using a content-first strategy means starting the design process with actual content. Instead of being overwhelmed with revisions and overhauls at the end, real content makes it easier to identify modifications that need to be made along the route.

Harmony and Typography plays a very important in designing, harmony makes a design better, meanwhile a typography shapes perception. The lecturer noted that White space is one of the hardest to apply onto design especially in Malaysia design industry. White space creates contrast and also gives off minimalism vibes. Next. visual hierarchy keeps navigation simple in design. It should be simple to access your content in a few simple steps thanks to the visual hierarchy of your website's navigation. There should be obvious and simple access to all of the parts and content on your website.
