LECTURE (FRIDAY, APRIL 26TH 2024)

On the week 10 lecture, the lecturer mentioned the technique of increasing the volume and quality of website traffic that search engines send to a website or web page is known as search engine optimization, or SEO. Many believe SEO is not worth the effort because it is too difficult. That is untrue. SEO fundamentals are actually very easy to understand. Furthermore, if you have a website, it's definitely something you should understand about, as Google accounts for 57.8% of all web traffic. Because SEO is the act of increasing these signals to rank higher in the organic search results, it is significant. 

The majority of individuals do not write all of the HTML and CSS code for their websites. They make use of a web platform. These software programs make it easy for people who don't know how to code to develop websites, manage content, and handle technical details. Web hosts keep your website on a hard disk that is accessible to anybody with an internet connection. You have very little control over your hosting if your website is built on a hosted platform. However, you are responsible for finding a place to host it if you are using a self-hosted platform like as WordPress. By creating a logical site structure, it is imperative to have a coherent hierarchy for your content to provide easy and intuitive navigation for both search engines and users to your website. Making a mental map is the most straightforward method for doing this.
